Project Description
The Arctic Winter Games are a biennial multi-sport and indigenous cultural event involving circumpolar peoples residing in communities or countries bordering the Arctic Ocean. We were proud to be a part of the Mat-Su Arctic Winter Games in 2024. As producers of the Opening & Closing Ceremonies, we had he opportunity to work closing with the Host Society, performers and athletes from the Arctic North, and the great people of the Mat-Su Valley in Alaska. It was a great honor to be recognized by one of our VIP guest speakers, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, the Governor General of Canada, for our planning and detailed work on the Opening Ceremony.
What we did
- Worked with AWG 2024 Host Society members to develop program
- Worked with AWG 2024 marketing team to provide necessary details
- Commissioned the AWG 2024 Theme Song working with the band Portugal. The Man
- Developed site plans for staging location, marshaling routes, ceremony placement for 2000 participants
- Developed run of show, production schedules, onsite stage management plan
- Managed logistics with host venue
- Managed lighting, staging, sound, video, cameras
- Overall event management and implementation of plans
